Steering group
The project's steering group helps the project leader in her work, approves the project's goals and guidelines and provides the project with professional guidance, if necessary. The steering group also ensures that the project is being properly executed. The steering group consists of members and deputy members from the Ájtte Museum in Sweden, the Norwegian Sámi Parliament and the Sámi Museum Siida. In addition, a representative of the funding body has the right to participate in the steering group's meeting as a monitor. It is the monitor's job to ensure that the project is being executed in accordance with the decisions and the official regulations that pertain to it. At this point in time, the steering group consists of Anna Westman from the Ájtte Museum, Tarmo Jomppanen from the Sámi Museum Siida, Kjersti Schanche from Varanger Sámi Museum and Linda van der Spa or Toril Iversen from the Norwegian Sámi Parliament. A representative of the Lapland Provincial Office is acting as project monitor.

Reference group
The purpose of the project reference group is to work as a "soundboard" for the project leader and the steering group. The reference group consists of the project leader, the members of the steering group, researcher Inga-Maria Mulk from Ájtte museum, curator Dikka Storm from Tromsö Museum and professor Veli-Pekka Lehtola from Giellagas Institute, university of Oulu. The reference group will meet when necessary.
